Web / UI Designer

Actualise Design is looking for freelance and contract web / UI designers to assist with project and overflow work. Applicants must have a strong commercial portfolio demonstrating their ability to design attractive user interfaces that communicate clearly, meet contemporary usability standards and pair with branding harmoniously.

Work is available for local and remote individuals, with the possibility of full-time employment offered to proven designers.

Required skills and experience

• Expert skills in designing visual mock-ups
• Experience working with brand guidelines / style guides
• Highly talented in designing aesthetically pleasing user interfaces
• Highly creative in designing standalone graphics
• Strong knowledge of UI design patterns with optimised usage
• Thoroughly experienced in responsive design for desktop and mobile devices
• Understanding of UX principles and UCD techniques

Bonus skills

• Advanced Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills
• Diverse art direction and creative graphic design capabilities
• Artwork slicing and exporting for web optimised graphics - SVG, PNG, JPG and GIF formats
